Kiluanji Kia Henda’s Redefining The Power series (2010–11) is a powerful photographic intervention in post‑colonial Luanda. Henda stages contemporary Angolan cultural figures including designers, performers and activists on the empty pedestals left by toppled colonial-era statues of Portuguese explorers and rulers. By echoing the original vantage points of colonial postcards, he reclaims public space and reshuffles symbols of authority
