Goodman Screenings is a monthly digital programme presenting a curated selection of artist films, documentaries, and multimedia works, available to stream exclusively on our website for a limited time. Each edition highlights compelling moving-image practices from leading contemporary artists, offering audiences intimate access to thought-provoking and critically acclaimed works from anywhere in the world.

This month, we present Land of Dreams by Shirin Neshat. Set in a near-future America, the film follows an Iranian art student who travels across the country recording citizens’ dreams, weaving together fiction and social commentary. Through her signature poetic and visually striking style, Neshat explores themes of surveillance, identity, displacement, and power, creating a haunting and timely reflection on contemporary society.
