Gabrielle Goliath Personal Accounts Exhibition
Personal Accounts is the first Ukrainian solo exhibition by South African artist Gabrielle Goliath. In a new chapter of her ongoing project Personal accounts, she delves into experiences of patriarchal violence and paths toward healing. The Ukrainian chapter of the project, created specifically for the exhibition, will feature personal stories of women, queer, trans, and non-binary individuals, empowering them not only through sharing moments of trauma but also practices of survival, solidarity, and love.
In the video installation, the artist removes all spoken words, bringing to the forefront sounds of breaths, sighs, and hums – echoes that occurred between the narratives shared by the participants during personal interviews.
