Clive van den Berg's Survey Exhibition at The KZNSA, South Africa

Clive van den Berg is the subject of a survey exhibition of paintings, prints and sculptures at the Kwa-Zulu Natal Society of Art Gallery. The exhibition, 'Remembering', sees van den Berg’s work return to the gallery since his first ever show, 'Monuments', in 1983.
Primarily focusing on the past and present as contiguous elements, the actions of the past and their influence on issues at present, underpin the dominant themes in 'Remembering', manifesting as a reflection on biography and memory. The exhibition is a return to where it all began but also a continuation of the artist's deep exploration of memorialising.
Curated by Kim Kandan and Jo Voysey in collaboration with Anthony Dawson and Neil Dundas of Goodman Gallery.
