William Kentridge: More Sweetly Play the Dance at Mudam Luxembourg presents a major installation by the renowned South African artist, immersing viewers in a dynamic procession that blends drawing, animation, film, sound, and performance. The eight-screen video work, originally created in 2015, stretches over 40 metres and features a hypnotic parade of silhouetted figures who move rhythmically across the screens to a powerful brass band score. Drawing on themes of displacement, protest, and resilience, Kentridge’s choreographed procession evokes both political marches and religious rituals, transforming historical trauma into poetic movement.
