Thanks to a generous donation from the gallery, the village inaugurated a new solar water pump on 30 September 2023—ushering in safe, flowing water for the first time for over 3,500 residents.
This innovative system channels more than 10,000 liters of water daily across 3,833 kilometers of piping, connecting to seven communal taps. The immediate benefits have been life-changing: improved health outcomes, increased access to education, and new economic opportunities that have revitalized the community.

MOTHERS OF THE COMMUNITY
As part of the project, local youth were trained in the skills needed to maintain and operate the water system—ensuring long-term sustainability while also creating pathways to employment. This initiative not only addresses a basic human need but also marks the beginning of a broader focus on climate action and confronting the realities of the climate crisis in the Global South.
