Hank Willis Thomas is featured in three major museum exhibitions across the United States this year, underscoring his continued influence on contemporary art and social discourse.

His work is included in Grief and Grievance: Art and Mourning in America at the New Museum, New York. The exhibition brings together 37 artists working across diverse mediums who respond to the national emergency of racist violence experienced by Black communities in the United States, through themes of mourning, commemoration and loss.

Thomas also features in Jacob Lawrence: The American Struggle at the Seattle Art Museum, which reunites Lawrence’s groundbreaking 30-panel series Struggle… From the History of the American People (1954–56) for the first time since 1958. New work by Derrick Adams, Bethany Collins, and Hank Willis Thomas accompanies the series, highlighting ongoing themes of democracy, justice, and inclusion.

Additionally, Thomas' work is included in the group exhibition Off the Record at the Guggenheim Museum, New York. The exhibition brings together artists from the Guggenheim’s collection who interrogate dominant cultural narratives and challenge the authority of official records.
