William Kentridge Elected as Académie des Beaux-Arts Foreign Associate Member

Goodman Gallery celebrates the nomination of William Kentridge as a Foreign Associate Member of the Académie des Beaux-Arts (French Academy of Fine Arts) by Erik Desmazières, member of Engraving and Drawing section.
Kentridge was officially inaugurated on 12 February 2025, following his election to seat XIII on 15 September 2021, previously held by Greek jeweller and artist Ilias Lalaounis (1920–2013).
The Académie des Beaux-Arts founded in 1816, focuses on arts heritage and creation in France and abroad through patronage and recognition of artistic contributions.
